A Day in the Life of Scipio Aemilianus

Each morning, I wake up early and make my way to the senate house in a litter. I spend most of my day there making decisions that will impact the state of Rome as a consul. Once I have finished my senatorial duties, I have some free time to go to the shows in the many Roman theaters. Once the day is mostly over I take my ugly, sterile wife Sempronia out to dinner in a local restaurant. That is a typical day while I am in Rome, but my days whilst I am on a military campaign are much different. Every night I sleep in a temporary tent outside of the city that my legions have under siege. I must get up early to make sure everything is in order, once that is done I must make important strategic decisions to prevent the operation from falling apart.
